The Chair 1 is the original Grythyttan form — a side chair that has been in continuous production since the 1940s and shows no signs of being improved upon. Ekström's proportions are exact: upright enough to be useful at a table.
Untreated teak seat and back, hot-galvanized steel frame. The teak will silver gracefully outdoors without treatment, or stay warm with periodic oiling. Either choice is correct.
Pairs directly with the Grythyttan teak tables. Works equally well pulled up to a dining table or standing alone.
