Collection: Hans J. Wegner.

Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007) was a seminal Danish furniture designer, often called the "master of the chair" and a key figure in Danish Modern.

A trained cabinetmaker, Wegner combined deep craftsmanship with a functionalist approach, designing over 500 chairs. His philosophy centered on simplicity, natural materials (especially wood), and creating furniture that was "beautiful from all sides."

His iconic designs include the Wishbone Chair (CH24, 1949), The Round Chair (1949), and the China Chair (1944). Many of his works, celebrated for their organic forms and lasting quality, remain in continuous production and are housed in major museums worldwide.
