The Bund Counter Chair, a prominent piece by Stellar Works, was designed by Shanghai-based architecture duo Neri & Hu (Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu). Named after Shanghai’s famous waterfront district, the chair’s design reflects the city’s complex history, blending soft curves and heavy upholstery to evoke the 1920s/30s colonial glamour. Exposed wooden structures and raw material combinations nod to Shanghai’s industrial past.
