Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg (1955-2015) was a highly influential Swedish textile artist and designer, widely known as the "Queen of Rugs" for her significant contributions to the Swedish design landscape.

She served as the Lead Designer at Kasthall, the renowned Swedish rug and carpet manufacturer, for an impressive 28 years, from 1987 until her passing in 2015. During her tenure, she became the embodiment of Kasthall's design philosophy, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics.

Lagerhem Ullberg's inquisitive nature and experimental approach, paired with her exceptional sense of color, led to the creation of many of Kasthall's most classic and iconic collections, including Moss, Fogg, Häggå, and Tekla.
